Shopping for Men’s Toys? Start Here 😉
Shopping for a men’s toy can feel surprisingly overwhelming.
There are so many shapes, textures, features, and styles that it’s easy to get stuck wondering:
“What if I pick the wrong one?”
Here’s the good news: there really isn’t a wrong one.
Your first toy doesn’t have to be the perfect choice. In fact, the whole point is to explore, experiment, and figure out what you actually enjoy.
And that’s exactly why strokers and sleeves are one of the easiest places to start.
They’re beginner-friendly, simple to use, and can add something new without requiring a complicated setup or a bunch of features you’re not sure you even want yet.
If You’re New to Strokers, Keep These 3 Things in Mind
1. Start simple.
A manual stroker is a great introduction because you—or a partner—control the speed, pressure, and rhythm.
There’s not much of a learning curve. Instead of figuring out buttons, settings, or modes, you can focus on one thing: discovering what feels good.
Once you know what you like, it becomes much easier to decide whether you want to explore more texture, vibration, automatic movement, or other features later.
2. Everyone’s preferences are different.
Some people prefer a smoother sleeve. Others want more texture. Some eventually discover they love automatic movement, vibration, or a completely different style.
There isn’t one “best” option because bodies and preferences are different.
Think of your first stroker as a starting point rather than a final answer. You’re learning what kinds of sensations you enjoy—and sometimes the only way to figure that out is to try something new.
3. Please, please add lubricant. 😅
This one makes a huge difference.
A quality lubricant improves glide, reduces uncomfortable friction, and makes the entire experience feel better.
Without it?
That soft, textured sleeve can quickly turn into what I lovingly describe as a skin puller with bonus hair-plucking sensations. 😂
Nobody asked for that.
Use the lube.
You Don’t Have to Find “The One”
Whether you’re shopping for yourself or introducing something new with a partner, take the pressure off finding the perfect toy.
The goal is simply to discover what you enjoy.
Curiosity is normal. Experimenting is normal. And preferences can change as you discover new sensations.
Sometimes the only way to find your favorite is to start somewhere.
